Change pitch bend range

Post by Jackuar »

Hi All,

Is there a way to change the range of the pitch bend? Currently it bends to only -2 -- 0 -- +2 range (That's to two semitones lower or higher).. Is there a way to extend this to more.. Something like when I play a G and a full bend will take me up all the way to the higher / lower C?

Thanks for any help!

See page 22 of the PA600 User Reference Manual. You can assign different pitch bend sensitivity for each track.

While in Style mode press MENU and select MIXER-TUNING then select the TUNING tab. On that page you can adjust the PB Sensitivity knobs to your preference.

Thank you. That did work but now.... I prefer it to set it to a higher bend level, always, for all tracks, at all times. Customising every thing into performances is going to be some work. Is there a way to set this as a global setting?

I looked at the ref manual but no such step seem to be mentioned but in case if I missed...?

Thanks for any help.

Don't think there is any global control for PB sensitivity. Looked all through the user manual and found nothing except setting it on a per STS setting as above.

I think if you were to save the new range as a global setup (global Style set up and Global Song Play setup) using the drop-down menu (and maybe as your performance 1-1) it will save any future performances with your desired settings.
Performances already written however will need to be edited.

Had posted this as a new topic.

=============

Not at all inspiring.

Yesterday Y+ was working strange.
Today Pitch bend does not work at all.
Without that no way to play Indian music.

Appreciate any insights any one may have.

Have a sent a note to Korg USA warranty support.

In comparison, my Technics KN 1400 is working like brand new after 20+ years producing amazing music.

I hope you had tried factory reset by now. if it still does not work, issue with the JS. usually a solder disjoint. Hopefully nothing to panic.. however, many had come across this problem. I had in 2 weeks after my purchase.

Would be great if KORG looks into this seriously - Just a feedback.

Thanks,
