Midi Clock problem?
Hello.
After recording a sequence on the Krome, using patches from the keyboard and an external sound module, I occasionally get a jumble of notes during playback during parts of the song. Also, today I noticed that there was a slight "delay" time between playing a note on my keyboard and the note that sounded on the module. After turning both instruments off and back on, the delay had disappeared.
Any ideas what may be the cause(s)?

Re: Midi Clock problem?
I might have a similar problem with my Krome, in that the internal midiclock doesn't seem very steady. When I playback a steady beat and add a regular delay that is in rhythm with the beat, one can clearly hear that the tempo is not rock solid. I also notice it using the arpeggiator. Don't know if that is also the case when using an external clock source. That surely should be improved with an update.jggiano wrote:Hello.

I do not know if this is the same problem, but what I have noticed is that a preset Combination Arpeggiator and Drum track, sometimes are not in Tempo or lose the Tempo after a while playing. As this is a Preset, I understood the Arpeggiator and the Drums track should be of suitable choice. If that is the case, the problem is the clock; isn't it?
Midi clock problem
Hi,Unfortunately I have the same problem. After playing a while, there is an increasing delay on a connected yamaha motif rack xs (never had such a problem before with a MP8). Connection over standard midi (direct cable from Midi out to midi in). This makes it impossible to use the Krome on stage with additional midi equippment. My hope is, that it can be fixed with a future software update. Korg support has no idea about the problem and suggests to return the instrument with proper problem discription to service. There is another post in this forum with the same background, I suppose...

I am facing similar problem.
I use my Krome 73 sequencer to send chords to my arranger (PSR S910). It works fine for a while but them started to trigger chords off timing. I reset Krome and starts to work fine again.
It is a killing problem !!!!
PS: I have latest 1.0.1 OS installed....

I played whole weekend without facing this problem again. Let both keyboard on for hours, played, edited songs, changed configuration, but everything was ok.
I will keep testing to find out more details about conditions that led to this problem.....

Midi lag/latency problems with Krome in live performance.
A few months ago I posted a Midi latency problem with my Krome which said: I purchased the Krome 88 three months ago. I love it except one thing, midi lag or latency in the middle of a performance. I midi out my Krome into a Roland JV3080 Rackmount/tone generator and a Korg CX3 and everything will be going fine until the middle of a set I start noticing a lag between my keyboard action and the midi-in response of the JV3080 and CX3. It's happened a couple times in the middle of a heated performance and can't figure out why. Needless to say extremely annoying. My fix, wait until the set is over and reboot the Krome because it takes about 1 minute to come back on.
Anyways, at the time we thought the probem was due to a daisy chaining effect and so I purchased a Midi-Solution thru box. I'm here to inform everyone that the Midi Lag/Latency/Clock issue is still a huge problem for me with just one rackmount-tone generator (Roland XV-3080) which I midi-in from the Krome, never mind daisy chaining. It's really pissing me off & infuriating and judging from other postings that I've read KORG either doesn't recognize the problem or does not have a software upgrade & solution to this problem. It has come to a head for me and on Monday I will officially lodge a product complaint through Long & McQuaid and Korg directly. I can't believe that after MIDI has been around for how long? 25 years? and Korg screws on this big time. I sincerely hope Korg reads this notes and pays attention customer issues and questions. If any one has any new knowledge or insights I'm all ears.
Thanks so much!

Still latency after latest os update
Hi everyone. I am also still facing this midi latency problem. Unfortunately, my hope in the latest OS update 1.02 was in vain. So please: if anyone finds a solution or an official statement from Korg, let us know it here!

Korg Krome midi delay problem
Folks,
Apologies for not replying and following up any sooner with my midi latency/delay problem. After close to 8 weeks I finally got my keyboard back from repair. I had reported the problem to my Calgary, Alberta music store Long & Mcquade who with some difficulties were able to replicate the problem. After consulting with Korg Canadian head office in Montreal the keyboard was shipped to their repair shop. It sounds like the 'main board' in the keyboard was defective and was replaced. In other words guys, there was nothing that could be done in terms of updating or changing the operating system/software. So far so good, in a week I haven't experienced the problem. If you have same problem I urge you to report problem to your music retailer and Korg.
Thanks
