Assign foot pedal or switch to a note

Post by Ottawa »

I connected my TR88 to my laptop through MIDI to use a software with a pre-programmed set of sound patches for an upcoming gig. The software requires that I hit a key on my keyboard (A#0) for changing patches. Has anyone found a way to configure the Foot Pedal or the Switch Pedal (either directly or indirectly) to emit the hitting of a key on the keyboard?

It's very indirect.

AFAIK you can't assign a note number or value to pedal. However I think you can assign the pedal to start/stop sequence - and if the sequence consisted of the one note you need then pressing start would be equivalent to hitting the note.
