Kaoss Pad KP3 Updater issue

Hi, if anyone could help me with this....

I am trying to upgrade the system by using the KP3 System updater. I follow the instructions exactly, and the software says I have version 1.04 (needs update). After restarting kaoss pad (buttons C.D.Sampling) and kaoss screen says IPL..

I click the update button and i recieve the error..

\"Failed to update.
Failed to update the software. (-10000)

I click OK and the updater now says I have software version 0.00 (need to update)

what do I do??

I seem to remember having some trouble myself, but not quite what you described. The support from Korg isn't what it should be and updates are long overdue to address the many shortcomings of what could be the dream unit...

For your situation all I can recommend is scouring the threads here to see if there's anyone who covered this already. Not a big help I know, worth a shot though buddy.

I found a solution, I used my friends newer macbook pro, (2012) and the updater worked , my macbook was 2010 ,,,
