Updating Factory Sounds
I've followed the instructions in the Updating the Kronos factory sounds .pdf file to the T.
I just have one question:
When I reboot my Kronos will the V2.1 sounds be automatically loaded, or do I have to set a system preference somewhere.
Thanks everyone!

The CX3 uses no samples, so these posts are wrong.
If you load the Program data it stays in memory and will be there every time you power up.
BTW, did you know you can "audition" new sounds by going to Disk Mode, opening the new organ PCG folder, going into the Bank of your choice and highlighting a sound, it will be live on the keyboard, no need to load it.

From page 3 of the file HowToUpdate_FACTORY_V2_E1.pdf:
Loading the sounds into internal memory
Before loading, make sure to back up important data onto the internal disk or a USB storage device. When you load the PCG file into memory, previously stored data will be overwritten.
These instructions focus on the new PCG file. Assuming that you still have the factory samples and KARMA GEs loaded, you can ignore the KSC and KGE files for now. (The KSC and KGE files contain the same data as the original factory versions, but have been renamed to match the PCG file; this makes it easier to reload all of the factory data at once when desired.)
This is followed by step-by-step instructions.
You need to load the PRELOAD_V2.PCG file but you don't need to change the autoload configuration. The old and new KSC files are the same - just named differently.

Careful! Loading the full new PRELOAD will overwrite any edits you might have made in the original PRELOADGoughy wrote:You need to load the PRELOAD_V2.PCG file but you don't need to change the autoload configuration. The old and new KSC files are the same - just named differently.
Better to only copy/paste the I-A and U-C bank of the PRELOAD_V2, or even only the specific CX3 programs in those banks (see the pdf's)

If you go inside the .pcg folder into the program folder, you will see each bank just select them and press load.kenrdot wrote:How do I just load the two banks
