Lower drawbars question
I've been playing around with the spiffy new CX-3 Signature Sounds and noticed a less than intuitive feature of the drawbar control. This was probably present before the upgrade - it's taken me until now to start digging into the organs.
If I play a split organ (for example "000: KE Along Came John") and go to the Drawbars display (5-2) under the P5: Split/Drawbar tab, the sliders control the Upper Drawbars as expected.
If I poke the Lower Drawbar Levels window (5-2a) I would expect the sliders to switch to control the Lower Drawbars. However, this is not the case. The sliders remain allocated to the Uppers. I can of course change the Lower Drawbars by selecting an individual drawbar on the display and using the Value slider, but this is a bit cumbersome.
I can also change the sliders to the Lower Drawbars using Tone Adjust, but I'm looking for a quick way to switch the sliders between Upper and Lower Drawbars.
Am I missing a switch or something? Is this a bug? Or is it as designed?

Hit the same probloem today and don't remember how it was with OS 2.06, because I only used the old CX3 casually, just changing upper drawbars during play.
Any explanantion from Korg staff?
Else the new engine feels really great

As far as I know, it has always been like that, that the 9 sliders only work on the upper drawbars.
To change the lower ones, touch the lower drawbars on the touchscreen display individually, and then change the value with the value slider

The CX-3 uses Tone Adjust to map the sliders to the upper drawbars by default. You can assign them to the lower drawbars if desired, but there's no way to switch instantly between the two (though I understand that would be desirable). For more information, see the Tone Adjust section of the CX-3 chapter in the Parameter Guide.

There is one workaround (sorta) - if you have something that can send a group of sysex messages. I just set up a button in Logic that when I push it switches between upper drawbars and lower drawbars.
What I would then do is setup up a controller on the Kronos or my foot pedals to trigger that, and I can jump back and forth as needed.
I know that may not be useful playing out, but is great in a studio or if you have some gear you can program to fire a little burst of sysex at your Kronos.

The Behringer BCF2000 will do the trick, though it only has eight sliders. You can use a knob for the ninth. And if you're nifty with programming you can have it switch upper and lower drawbars. Since the sliders on the BCF are motorised, you can program a preset to set any drawbar pattern automatically.
I use a BCR2000 to control the CX-3 and plug a B4D into the BCR for the lower drawbars. I also programmed two of the BCR groups to control the drawbars if I'm not using the B4D.

this thread has a lot of info on the BC products, BCR/BCF, cpiolot did a lot of work as did Qui and some others.

I was thinking you could assign the 8 knobs to the 8 lower drawbars on the tone adjust page ( if you don't need them for anything else of course )
Faders for the upper drawbars, knobs for the lower drawbars..
If you don't mind using knobs instead of faders it's good for realtime adjustments
and leave the value slider selected on the 9th lower drawbar.
Probably no use to you but you never know i hope it helps

As you said, I red on the Paramters Guide, page 239, section 5-2a :
So it is said there, that it is possible to do that but nowhere it as explained how.You can adjust these parameters by using the on-screen drawbar graphics, or use the physical faders via Tone Adjust, as described above.
As it is a long time since you posted, did you find any solution ?
Thank you very much.
