Midi Out on Kaossilator Pro + (in to Waldorf Rocket)

Post by unrealtom »

I bought a Kaossilator Pro + today and I am kind of new to synths in general and midi in particular. I am trying to get the signal from the Kaossilator to play thru my Waldorf Rocket (which has a midi in), but the Rocket doesn't seem to receive any signal. Is there any filters that need to be enabled/diasbled? What midi settings do I want on the Kaossilator?
The midi in on the rocket works fine when I run it from my Korg ES-1.

Thanks.

You will probably want to run the KPro in External Control mode. The manual has a section "Using the Kaossilator Pro as a MIDI Controller" that you should read. You can also change midi message assignments with the KPro editor which you can download from the Korg website.
