Hello -
I've read in a number of places on the web in dated posts about Korg developing a panel lock feature or some other type of solution to hitting the panel keys while playing. I've tried searching the forum, but to no avail. Can some PLEASE tell me whether that feature was added in a software update or something? How does it work?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Is there a panel lock solution?

The "panel lock" solution came in a system update -- it changes it so that instantaneous button presses (such as bumping a button while playing) don't register. You need to hold down the button for a bigger fraction of a second.
So if you have installed the current updates from the Korg website, then that's as good as it gets, and the only solution is to be a little more careful. It worked for me.

Thanks for the help... That does sound like a decent solution compared to a panel lock feature.
I think the floor model I was playing on probably had first gen software in it. I put a down payment on an 88 key SV1 and am excited! This was a concern of mine, but you have alleviated that. The only other concern of mine is the key bed issues I've been reading about.
I have a feeling that there are many SV1s that are fine, but that this issue has been blown up on the Internet by a number of owners that suffered. Are there owners out there that have had their SV1s without quality control issues? Please speak up if you're reading this! Thanks.

I've had my SV-1 for about 2 years now. It was an ex-shop floor demo, and gigged regularly since then, so not an easy life, and I've had no problems. So, yes, there are people that have had issues, but there are also some great, reliable boards out there.MscLvr2 wrote:I have a feeling that there are many SV1s that are fine, but that this issue has been blown up on the Internet by a number of owners that suffered.
