Korg Pa3X Oriental comes with locked functions!!
I think Korg should take care of this and unlock the Operating System of the Oriental version of Pa3X, they locked the MIDI out, quick recording, style editing, etc. The worst is that they don´t tell this information before you buy, I paid close to $4.000 and without knowing that my keyboard doesn´t have the same features that every regular Pa3X has.
Cheers

100% agree on that!
Well there was a other guy that wrote about this and he just dissapeard up into smoke, he got a mail from the CEO in libanon telling him to stop write anything about the subject because it would hurt him/his buisness. But that have nothing to do with hurting him.
It was the people/we that lost money, not him. By not making us aware about this locked functions (MIDI Lock) (Cant edit styles) they implented in addition to everything else. And they did not write anything in the MANUAL about this either. Because he knew not many would considering buying this unit if they knew it.
But still..
The value reason to buy a oriental keyboard as a middle eastern, that the CEO seems not to understand is that it still have a benefit the regular keyboard does not have. and its attractive.
You get the extra 1gb of ROM with oriental samples. that means combined ROM of korgs own material and ROM for oriental, and then you have your own RAM to put. This is a big advantage. No one cares of the rytms that he is so "inlove with that he is afraid people will copy thats why he locked everything". The most value he got he seems to forgett. Why is korg not afriad of their stuff being copy? Whats so special with ORIENTAL keyboard compared to KORGs stuff? its the same s**t.
So back to the topic, yes KORG should not accept this kind of behavior that leads to their name, that their loyal customers got screwed when they bought a keyboard worth over 4000dollars. And whos getting the bad name ? not the CEO of the oriental keyboard. Alot of cutomers are unhappy with this. And alot tryed to sell their units. Well well.
Make an UNLOCK like the MUSIKANT.

I've never been to Syria or Lebanon, but from what I hear they're aren't that many local musicians who can afford spending $4000 for a keyboard these days. Most likely people who live outside those countries can actually buy the oriental version at that price. It's a heavy keyboard so you definitely get hit with a hefty shipping price tag. (Even more if you purchase insurance...etc).
They get the keyboard only to find out the most basic and yet important features of a "PRO" keyboard are locked and not available!!! How's that different from a $10 Casio? It's not like you can run to the local store and return it that easy. It's not like that at all. You'd be responsible for all the shipping expenses. Even by doing so, I'm not sure if you'll get your money back right a way.
There's a long thread in a MiddleEastern Music forum about this authorized dealer who took a lot of money from prospective Korg PA3x OR buyers and then simply disappeared just like that! I stopped reading the thread, so not sure how the story ended. In any case, you have to put up with a lot of s**t if you decide to buy this product.
So Korg Italy points the finger at Korg Lebanon, right? Who do you think Korg Lebanon is? It's probably one or two people running the show. Of course they're not going to tell you about the locked features before the sale! Korg Italy is just as guilty in this. After all without Korg Italy there would be no Korg Lebanon. Somebody's got to stop this illegal operation.

the damage is already done, the only way for KORG Italy is to unlock the keyboards locked functions. I cant see any other diplomatic solution to this scam. Thats the way to say sorry and lets start over. Get a clean name again. They made this one on the Korg Pa3x MUSIKANT, they can as well do it to Korg Pa3x ORiental
And as Assyrianpianist said I could not say it better.

I contacted the local office here in France we need to have a law suite against KORG and KORG Lebanon, I did spoke with friend lawyer and this is what he say:
"Icalled the EU trade office and below is what they said:
Thank you for your message.
In your case, we invite you to check the terms and conditions of the seller, which binds and can be invoked by the consumer if there are violations of its obligations by the seller.
Moreover, we invite you to check Directive 1999/44/CE* on certain aspects of the sale of consumer goods and associated guarantees, which explains in article 2.1 that "The seller must deliver goods to the consumer which are in conformity with the contract of sale."
You can find more information on the sales and guarantees EU legislation in the following page from the competent service of the European Commission (the Directorate-General - DG - for Justice):
http://ec.europa.eu/justice/consumer-ma ... dex_en.htm
Additionally, we invite you to contact consumer centres in Italy if you would like further support in your dealings with the seller. You can find a list of appropriate consumer organisations in that country in the following page:
http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/overview/ ... rofile.pdf
We hope you find this information useful. Please contact us again if you have other questions."
Everyone should participate and send a complain email.

These are angry faces not smily faces. Look at all my posts and you will find that I am angry and very dead serious about the KORG abuse. We need to stop them and force them to open the locks on the PA3X OR.Assyrianpianist wrote:Ok, now you're just being childish. Ridiculous comments and smiley faces won't help you at all. My last comment in this thread:
I don't own a PA3x oriental and I'll never will. I'm not affected by this personally. I'm just feeling bad for others who did get tricked into buying something like this. All I'm saying is that if you want answer for your problem be professional about it. Posting crappy messages won't get you anywhere. You want to make a youtube video of the problem? Hey, that's a great way to get the message across.
I'm out of this thread. Wish you luck

Hey guys.. there are 2 stores in Lebanon that offer the PA3X in oriental version. Unfortunately, I haven't heard any good things about the two.
I do too would like to own PA3X Oriental. However, I decided to go with the PA600QT.
Just please be careful when buying things online. I personally, wouldn't trust ANY dealer in a war torn country. Please think before you click submit.

lol.. as I see there are some people that got upset from this, who can blame them? thats 100% understandable.. Some express themself more spicy then others.
o well as i predicted... who will get the blame? of course, our lovely company KORG for letting people from middle east scamming others in their name. Korg please if you could be so kind to unlock the keyboard for all your loyal users, so we can use MIDI, quick record and style edit. Now my pa3x is the same as my Roland e40 from the 90's.
Not only that, the libanes guys you licensed out to, almost scammed me with not giving me my keyboards. Comming up with all kind of excuses for 3 months.. But at the end I got my 2 keyboards thankfully, and two month later that guy that sold to me had scammed a bunch of customers (I dont have a number, but they were many I know some victims), runned away with all customers money and not giving out any keyboards. Wounder if Korg knows about that history.
But we should not be so aggressive on KORG. Hopefully they will help us after they understand this.
I vote YES, for Unlock!
