Wavestation standalone not saving preferences?

Post by elsongs »

I own the latest 64-bit Legacy Collection for Windows, but for some reason the Wavestation standalone does not retain the audio and MIDI preferences settings after closing the program. When re-launching, I am always given the audio/MIDI preferences window and have to manually enter the audio driver and MIDI controller. It's fine after that, but none of my other Legacy programs act that way. They open ready to play when launching. Is this a known bug?

I know this is old, and this is just a guess, but if you haven't settled this out, as a troubleshooting step, try running it as admin. Depending on where it's installed, it may not have permission to write to its own settings directory, like for instance in Program Files if you have UAC enabled (like you should).

If that fixes it, uninstalling and reinstalling in an unprotected location is probably a better solution than having to run it as admin all the time. I do run Studio One as admin though, otherwise jBridge is unhappy.
