Need help on Studio Monitors

I have just bought a Kronos X 88 with KRK Rorik 5G3. Mainly to use in a small room. Very disappointed with the sound quality for all acustic Pianos sounds. Very muffled !!!
What would be a better option than these KRK's to have a more realistic sound?
