Deleted factory Songbook

Post by sl72 »

Hi.
Been using Kronos and Ketron Audya the last year or so. Been missing the Pa2x pro I sold. So bought myself a Pa3x pro.

Took an ols backup of my songbook list for the Pa2x and loaded it in the Pa3x, big mistake! I have lost the songbook presets. What can I do to fix this?
Any help help would be great:-)

Hi

I wouldn't worry to much. Most of the songbook entries are a waste of time and / or the titles are to cryptic / obscure to understand. I haven't managed to use any of them under the title they supposedly refer to. It is interesting that when you go over to the korg pro shop, there is no problem, the styles match great with the songs, you just have pay $6.00 ea for the pleasure.

I think I remember someone asking recently if there was a decoded songbook list but he never got any replies

Some users contributed to a list of useful ones they use here: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=74538

Enjoy your PA3X, it is a lovely instrument…when you feel you match a great style to a great song.

cheers Howie

The procedure for moving an old songbook to the 3x is detailed in the Sticky above.
If you didn't do a backup of the Pa3x before loading it and its now lost, you can reset it back to factory condition by downloading the reset file from the Korgpa.com site.
Cheers,
John

I'm glad you posted this question Stian, as I have done exactly the same thing myself. And the replies helped me too.
Being a bit of a novice & new to KORG I found the factory songbook useful, and I had added some Christmas ones from the Korg site, but when I tried to add some 'pop' ones I managed to overwrite the original lot. I was not sure if a 'factory reset' would give me back my original 'songbook' but it has. I don't find the titles too hard to work out (My horse Sally = Mustang Sally etc.) all the keyboards I have owned seem to pose the same brain teasers :)
I did a factory reset by:
Press MEDIA button
Select the Utility Tab from the bottom.
Then select Factory Restore

Go make tea/coffee while it does it's job. Then restart the Pa3X
It's all fun and games, till someone looses an eye.
