Defective Ribbon Controller - need help and advise

Post by JPROBERTLA »

Earlier today my Kronos started making weird noises in various programs. In time I determined that the ribbon controller is defective. I have it disabled in sequencer mode, but cannot determine how to do it in program mode, or better yet globally. Has anyone had this happen? Is there a way to disable it globally? What would happen if I disconnected it? I have 2 performance this weekend and I am getting concerned; any advise or help would be appreciated.

My K73 ribbon is problem! In the combi mode, I disable it in the MIDI filter tab. There is no global solution I could have found :(

Does someone else have any suggestions? I have also found that it is present in many programs, including the Kronos German Piano (A000). I use this a lot, but had to move it out of at least 50 sequences because it has made that program unstable. I can't find it, but Is there any way to change it as a controller in each program?
