Kronos + Nord Lead 4 Song: Fairy Tales QR

Post by QuiRobinez »

Here's a new song from me called: Fairy Tales.
It was inspired by the sound of the Fairy Tales Piano Combi from the Sunrise dream collection. That piano has an slightly delayed high bell sound to it, really subtle but it has a great effect on the piano.

In this video i use the nord lead 4 for the arpeggiated pad because it blended quite well with the piano. The piano and lead sounds were taken from combis from the Sunrise Dreams QR Combi Collection. This song shows that you can also use the solo voices from the combi collection instead of using the full KARMA arrangements.

I've got a lot of questions when the Sunrise Dreams QR combi collection is release. I've decided to delay it for a few weeks because we got a great new feature in firmware OS2.1 called Live mode, which basically gives combi creators the possibility to add lot's of extra leads or other sounds in the combi on the general channel without effecting polyphony when they are muted. So in the last few weeks i've added a lot of new leads and other sounds and splits to the existing combis so that there is a lot more possible when you perform a song with the combis (you can change between the different leads now). For instance in this video the lead sounds from the Chinese Wall Combi are very different, in the beginning you hear a flute from that combi and half way you hear a distortion lead (and even a harp if you listen closely halfway). The only thing i did in that combi was muting one lead and unmute the other.

Hope you like the song.

Beautiful as ever, you are so talented Qui!

Very nice … I guess you did all programming yourself?
Showing very well the sound possibilities of the instruments.
