EXB-PCM05: can i decide where to save what?

Post by obscure_alchemist »

Hi guys!

I've just downloaded the zip file with the programs and the combis of the EXB-PCM05 (vintage archive) and I saw that there are both programs and combi. Is there a way to decide in which bank save the program and in which bank save the combis? (i have some sound made by me in the combi bank C and I don't want that the EXB overwrite them)

Thank you so much

You can save the combi pcg to D; or, if you don't have EXB MOSS installed in combo bank F. Just make sure you keep "drilling down" - opening the pcg fill till you can then direct the saving to which ever bank location you desire. Don't just install the pcg as is from Korg (see below).

Another caution: Make sure you DO NOT install the Triton version of the pcg. You want the KARMA-fied version. So, just install the programs to C/D and the combis to C/D/F depending on what you want to do. Also, remember to install the KGE file for this EXB otherwise the KARMA-fied version of the combis will not function fully.

Hope that helps.

Also consider using PCG Tools, it's a free librarian that can open multiple files where you can copy programs from one file to another (same workstation).

See the link in my signature for more info.

I'm sorry no ... that is not possible to copy from Triton to Karma, because the internal structure is ( too) different.
