Would it be possible to connect The Blofeld desktop module via MIDI and control it with The m50?
For example if i turn on a combi in The m50 That a specific combi would turn on in The blofeld? And can i mute/play control those sounds from The m50 so i could play both keyboards at The same time?

"Would it be possible to connect the Blofeld desktop module via MIDI and control it with the M50?"
YES: MIDI Out from M50 to MIDI In on Blofeld would allow M50 to be the master keyboard controlling the Blofeld.
BUT: Blofeld will need to be receiving the MIDI channel being sent. Default channel is "Global", but you would want to change that if you wanted to control more than one module.

MAYBE: Sending a patch or combi location as part of the MIDI data is possible. How the Blofeld will interpret that combi location may be a problem unless both the bank and location architecture of both synths are similar. Does the Blofeld have a similar Combi bank as well as single voices? It would be an issue if you wanted to call up a different combi than the one that the M50 was using, to call up a Blofeld combi while the M50 was in program (single) mode, and if the Combi Bank was not on the Blofeld -- what does Combi Bank D mean to a synth that only has A & B?
BUT: Within any given M50 combi, you can designate that one track should go to play an EXTernal (Blofeld) single voice and call up one specific patch location. You can manage external modules by having consistent, separate assigned MIDI channels for each piece of gear; i.e., Blofeld set up to receive ONLY MIDI channel 9 and EXT voice set up to send the Blofeld-correct location on selection.

YES: MIDI is all about that two-at-once thing, provided you have control gestures programed correctly. MIDI is, at its most basic, a set of gestures; play this note, stop playing this note, push this pedal, twist that knob. If the knob or gesture (aftertouch for example) is not supported or assigned within the receiving synth's engine it will be ignored. So to mute or change volume you'll have to be using a control - sending a gesture - that both the M50 and Blofeld will recognize and understand as being assigned to them. Can you figure out how to mute an M50 assigned channel within a combi?

Ok so I figured out that I can split the keyboard to different midi channels in combi mode and play the blofeld that way. (for example ch 2 on right side and ch 3 on left side)
now the problem is when I mute these ext sounds on the m50 it still transmits the midi to my blofeld.
Is there a way to mute/solo the sounds?? shouldn't it be possible?
