Volca Beats Changing number of beats in a pattern?

Hi guys

A new user here!

When I switch on my Volca Beats, it seems to default to using all 16 beats in a pattern. Support I want to create a pattern with a smaller number of beats in it? Is there a setting to change this?

Use Active Step to turn off how ever many steps you want.
