Is it saved?

Post by Natasha0404 »

Hi gents.

I've made some combis and have saved all in a new directory.

Yesterday I also made some but they were not there when I used my Kronos today.

I don't want to switch it off today as I've done lots more editing and no way do I want to lose it again.

I've saved all again with the same name by going to disk, selecting my NAT directory, lock selected and then save all.
But the NAT.ksc is file read only.

What's the best way to make sure I don't lose my work?

Also I can't seem to get rid of the damper on patch user c068 dark bass. I've gone on the ctrl view, common controllers, as well as other edit pages.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you done anything other than edit some combis? Do you have other samples involved? It sounds like you can just save your pcg file

Thanks. I've just edited combis. But how should I keep on saving as I make my set lists?

Thanks. I've just edited combis. But how should I keep on saving as I make my set lists?
Well there are two parts of "saving" your work.
Once you edit a combi you use the "Write Combination" command in the menu and this writes it to the internal memory. Sounds like you are already doing that. This is saved internally and if you shut off your machine and turn it back on.. they will still be there. p69 operators guide: Saving your edits

But... if you load a pcg file that uses that same bank or combi slot.. it is gone for good. So, you want to save to disk.
For what you are doing. I would suggest usind the Save PCG command in disk mode. Then only select the bank that you have been editing and give it a meaningful name. then you can load that up any time.
That can be useful if you use a bank such as U-G as a "scratch" bank. Do you work there save it, repeat, load as needed.
p.190 Operators guide: Saving only a single bank of sounds
