Ensemble & M3

Post by Tomafgan »

Does M3 has "ensemble" function like the pa800 and pa3x?
I would like to make harmony with guitar...

Thanks in advance...

With the M3 the way to do this is to program such harmony with Karma. But unlike the arranger keyboards (which are built for being backup bands) the M3 is a true workstation in which you have to build all the pieces. It's more a total composition tool vs. an arranger board which gives you backup lines and harmonies and then you can compose on top of that or use it to play cover tracks, etc.

However, the M3 does have a full implementation of Karma. But Karma is powerful and complex. Learning to program Karma takes time.

The other thing you could do is this: you can split the keyboard with guitar on top and say a synth pad on the bottom. You can then program chords into the 8 pads and use those to build backgrounds while you record your guitar on top. You can then add a drum track very easily.

I assume this is what you meant, but maybe I'm off base. Hope that helps.
