Tnx for sharing MamieNova.

I do have quick question: you wrote :
Note that before loading the set in the PA, you must unprotect the styles and pads: (GLOBAL/MENU/MODE PREFERENCES/MEDIA, unprotect all but Factory Sound Protect)
Is that's mean your set going to overwrite entire factory sets in pa600?

Yes, the entire factory styles, performances and pads will be overwritten with........
..........the same factory datas...plus the new ones ! 8)

So you loose nothing, just benefits !

For the SOUNDS:
There are no free slots in the factory sounds banks so only user1, user2 and userDK banks are used for the new sounds of the Dopamine Set.

I recommend you have a look to the PDF in the ZIP file. The last column indicates "Korg Factory" for all resources already present in the Factory resources 1.1 (PA600)

Hope it's clearer.

Is it a factory style?
Or a user style?

Just save this style only as a set.

An other easy solution to keep your edited styles:
The Dopamine set doesn't use the USER2 and USER3 styles banks (you can check this in the STYLE folder of the ZIP file) so if you copy/paste your edited style to these banks (the 2 last ones), it won't be overwritten.

Nevertheless, learning to make a backup of your set is a mandatory step, and an easy one:
MEDIA / Save / Select ALL (at the root) / Save To / New SET and choose your name.

That's it.

These are the steps to save one resource (style, sound, perf, pad, dk):

Media/Save
Check ALL and then open until you find the resource you wish to save.

Then click on Save To and name your set.

That is all.

Probably not working on PA50sd. It's been designed for PA600, PA900 and PA3X, but you should try importing individual resources like styles. Even if some sounds are weird, I hope you could adapt tracks instruments to the PA50sd. Trying is progressing !

NEVER TRY TO LOAD PA3X, PA900, PA600 resources to older machines!!!!!

You may end up with a totally stuck and maybe NON recoverable instrument!!!

Hi,
I ' ve just purhased a pa 600 and am fairly new to its workings as having had roland for years, but if I could ask please , as you say if I unprotect all the factory settings except the sounds to load the Dopamine set, what would happen if I also unlocked the sounds,

Thanks for your help.
Thanks Tony,

Hi TonyTequila
Nothing will happen.

The Dopamine Set will not modify any factory sound.

Unprotecting the factory sounds will allow you to modify them by hand if you like. I would not recommend this if you are not an expert in sound creation, and if you don't have very specific needs. Modifying these factory sounds by hand will modify the instruments sounds in styles and thus is definitely not recommended.

Enjoy your new PA !
