Anyone using the nanoPad2 with their Kronos?
I kind of miss the pads on my M3.
If you are using the nanoPad2 do you like it and does it work well?

Hi,

yes I use it and with 16 Triggerpads there are many possibilities.

Chordtrigger, starting RPPR, Drumbeats and so on...

But in my opinion its not easy to handle..

One problem is, where I place the NANO to fix it? On Kronos 61 there is no place, I'm looking for a good solution.

The pressure dynamic is very difficult to handle, in some sounds if you press a little bit to hard its too loud.

But without the NANO an important thing will be missed...

Yes - I have had them since I got the Kronos and think it they are a great addition.

I was about to get one when I discovered Midi Pads for the ipad2 and then realised I had what I needed right there. I can also use it with Morphwiz or just to read notes in PDF format

I looked at the nanopad2 but wound up spending three times more for the QuNexus. A couple reasons, this thing seems bullet proof and I travel a lot, CV is possible, after touch, tilt sensitivity able to calibrate to different sensitivity an a host of other options. The editor works well with my mac and currently I have it set up with pads, and will program some Karma functions in as well as soon as I decide which ones I want access to. I love the thing. Would I buy it again, not sure, the QuNeo also calls me and it has even more controls and is also as bullet proof but I would have one or the other. Sorry I know you asked about the nano pad and for the price it is a great piece of kit as well. I can say I would rather not do without an external pads controller of some sort.

I use a good mobile phone holder (with suction pad) - not brilliant but works.

Re the QuNexus - with the Nanopad2 I can assign a chord on one pad - can the QuNexus do this?

How exactly did you configure Midi pads with your Kronos ?

I have one and have been gigging it heavily the past year. It saved my gigging career after brain surgery allowing me to use the pads to play chords for my parts while recovering. I velcro'd it to my top keyboard and run a short USB cable.

That aside, I find it very responsive, and the possibility for fixed velocity is nice. Since you can only assign 8 per program/combi I have the other 8 setup for percussion and stuff. There's lots of other potential uses too!

Really a must have in my book.

Karmathanever, I have assigned every pad on the Kronos to the Qunexus individual keys. Obviously with 25 keys have have plenty left over to assign something to. I can change the notes on the kronos pad and the Qunexus plays it. Is that what you are asking? Qunexus individual keys are assigned via cc#. Even polyphonic after touch if that is available in what you are controlling. Midi is still very new to me so I am by far no expert. It took me a week to figure out how to get the pads to work, something that would be easy for someone familiar with midi implementation. I hope that answered your question. IS there something you want me to try and see if it works, if I am able?

It was quite easy as a matter of fact; just connected the ipad with the camera connection kit, then chose the pencil/edit option and in the "pad messages" section chose CC as the messaging option, then just had to assign them, and voila!

Works wonders
