Wow....that's a strange one !!!! (no pun intended).

I can share your frustration with this....

Does it do that when there's no live power feed ?

Please keep us informed what your supplier says.

Best Wishes.

Edit....deleted a previous suggestion.

That power chord doesn't look like the one mine came with. Did you try a different power chord? The one you have looks kinda nasty and might be bad.

That's a good idea...R Brenon
Changing the power lead is a good suggestion.

Clearly a faulty switch, but you will harm your KRONOS if you keep doing what you demonstrated in the video. Having it switch on and off a second later is bad for it.

If your going to play with the switch, don't have your KRONOS plugged in.

I know, this sucks big time, but this is a simple one to fix. No more than a 20 minute job. The power switch is dead easy to replace. Just ask KORG to rush one to your local dealer and get them to install it under warranty.

Sharp.

I agree with Sharp on you ruining the Kronos by repetitive switching on and off. That could ruin your SSD drive. The thing is, on older Korg synths, they used a regular switch. Could this possibly be a circuit breaker safety type? Take the power chord out and turn on the switch and see if it pops back without the chord plugged in.

It's just a standard switch.

I tried other power cords this one you see in the video is my old power cord I used the original one till the problem started.....i measured my voltage in the house....everything is fine...another problem is when I hold the switch, kronos starts up and it boots normally and the display and the buttons are working but there is no sound just some weird noise like cable malfunction.....so it could be sdd problem too.....I know that I shouldn't turn on so quickly Kronos but I just did that for the video....even tried updating OS again....I was thinking that the Kronos is receiving some bad command from the automatic power off....the switch must go automaticly to off position after it turns off itself.....but I never used that function......and no pedro it's not doing that when there is no power....I will keep you informed.....

Are you sure? The timing of the power-off very much looks like a circuit breaker.

Whatever it is it is clearly, CLEARLY a warranty issue, so please stop making it worse and contact a service center.

Not 100% but looking at the service manual, it's looks clear to me that it's not wired to be a trip switch and that it's just a standard rocker switch.

He original poster can easily verify this too by simply flipping the switch while there's no power cord connected to the KRONOS. To me it looks like the spring in the switch has simply moved.

Look, the switch when it turns off like on the video, switching goes a little harder....I need to push it with more force....with or without the power cord attached to the electric power....but what is happening with the keyboard because there is no sound on it just weird noise on the speakers. ...is the OS running from ssd? Everything works but no sound exept .....and disk flash light is blinking a lot.....

Which conforms my thinking on this. It's the actual switch that's at fault. There's only two wires connected to it. It's just a simple rocker switch that breaks the circuit and is easily replaced.

If your saying now that you have no sound, well..... that's an entirely different problem.

Turn on and off the power to the KRONOS all the time as demonstrated in the video is most certainly bad for any electronic device.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Audio board has been damaged now.

Either way, this forums is not the place for help. It's with you dealer and KORG direct.
is the OS running from ssd?
Yes, as with any computer it boots off a disk.
and disk flash light is blinking a lot.....
Totally normal for the KRONOS when your playing it. It streams sample data in real-time from the SSD as you play.

Hope you get things sorted.

Sharp.

I didn't switch the keyboard on and off many times....I did this when I was filming the video and when it happened....I am aware of the problems with the ssd and I know for 10 sec.wait time.....the sound was gone along with the switch problem .....anyway thanks to all of you for replying.....cheers.

yes korg kronos Durability 0% I am very disappointed because the Kronos i bought. it was brand new and after one week, faded line appeared in its screen. Now it has been repaired by Korg but I had to hustle very much for it.
I was previously using Motif and now im going to switch to Motif because of Kronos bad behavior with PC synchronization. This is my message for Korg that if their planning to make another model of Kronos then kindly.
BY this message, i didn't mean to insult but the motive was of improvement because i really like the sound quality of Korg and i want the next keyboard of Korg should have good PC integration and durability.
