MIDI expert's help needed
I really don't know much about MIDI but I'm able to achieve what I need to do.
The problem is that the hardware doesn't respond so I have to ask experts.
I thank mr. Rockitman that in another post (http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... highlight=) advised to put a delay in the midi message, but it didn't help.
I will explain what the situation is and hope that someone in the forum can have an idea on what the problem can be:
I have an Ipad in wich I use Unrealbook (I tried with Set List Maker too and the results are the same) to send midi message to my pa2x.
I set the control channel on midi in 8 and saved.
when I send the midi message from the Ipad with a camera connection kit and an M-Audio midisport uno midi interface the pa2x will work.
By the way, the message is this:
B7 63 02
B7 62 40
B7 06 02
B7 26 01
It changes my Songbook to song to 201.
If I try with my iRigMIDI interface, it won't work.
I need to use the iRigMIDI because it charges the iPad while using it.
You will all think that the iRig doesn't work.
It's not true.
If I hook the iPad with the iRigMIDI to a Yamaha Moxf6 MIDI IN and then a midi cable form the Moxf6's MIDI THRU to the pa2x's MIDI IN.
Everything works fine.
so every piece of the chain works.
Please help me use the Ipad with iRig with only the pa2x.
Thank you.

iRig - ControlMessages
ControlMessages only seems to be transmitted to Pa2x by Midi-DIN (5-pins) but not by Midi-over-USB
kind regards

Trust me it works with cck and usb to midi interface.
Anyway I solved my problem:
I built myself a midithru box and put it in between of the iRig and the pa2x.
IT WORKS!
I believe that the iRig doesn't transmit the midi message with the right electrical strength needed for "MY" pa2x (sent two times for assistance. Replaced two times the led boards).
I tested the pins in the thrubox and found out that it had a tension of 5V.
I Solved and I am happy.
If i could do without the thrubox It would have ben better, but it's ok.
Thanks to all anyway.

nilom,
Glad to hear you solved it. I was reading your latest post,
but could not figure it out.

"siebenhirter, I read better your post.
You are right.
The camera connection kit is hooked to the iPad, and to the cck is hooked a midi interface USB to MIDI that has the Midi-DIN (5-pins)."

I should have written:
"siebenhirter, I red better you post.
You are right if you use a simple USB cable hooked to the CCK.
I am using an USB to MIDI interface hooked to the CCk, so at the and of the chain, I have two MIDI DIN cables."
Hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
I'm italian and my english is not that good.

Scusi, ma le mie competenze scrivere in lingua Italia anche non sono buono. E non penso che lingua Italiana è difficile che lingua Inglese.nilom wrote: I'm italian and my english is not that good.
@Rockitman
I think nilom want to tell you to use simple Midi-Standard-Connections (5-pin DIN) instead Midi-over-USB, as there are Midi-Messages Pa-Keyboards does not recognize when received from Midi-Over-USB-Connections.
kind regards

Funziona per me
Capisco ora, tuttavia funziona per me. Ho l'App Setlistmaker.
Io uso un iPad2 > CCK > cavo USB direttamente alla mia PA800
I understand now, however it works for me. I have the Setlistmaker App.

Rockitman,
I appreciate you translating in italian.
I have ben living in San Diego from 1973 to 1977.
I was a 10 year old kid. Now I'm fifty.
I didn't forget how to speak english but it is not so fluent anymore.
I have a little bit of difficulty when writing.
I am happy that it will work with an usb cable too.
But what about charging the iPad while using it.
Nicola

charging
It does not charge the iPad, and I do not know of one that does.
However my iPad lasts long enough on a charge so it's not a bother.
I am 53 and 1/2 Italian. I am going to Italy this fall, so I am practicing the language...
