Organ patches

Post by ddpianoman »

There doesnt seem to be any rotary spinning options on the organ patches. I expected to be able to spin fast or slow with the right wheel, but nothing happens on any organ sound. Is something wrong? There is a rotary sound with gospel but uncontrolable.

Typically the rotary sound is not initially set to "on" for organs.

Check the insert effects section and determine that the organ is routed to the rotary speaker effect or rotary+distortion (it usually is on almost all of them).

You may notice that there is an assigned controller (AMS) that says JS +Y with a setting of "toggle".

[That was just so you'd understand where the settings were located]

-- exit effects menu --

Push the joystick lever up (away from you) and release.

You should have rotary speaker now.

Hi!

Usually the fast/slow rotary is set on Joystick+y. For Kross we set the Fast/Slow on pitch wheel and toggle mod. Please check.

Kind regards,

In addition many of the organ patches seem to utilize SW1 or SW2 to be a full stop toggle with the Pitch wheel toggling Rotary/vibrato speed.
If it's worth doing, then it's worth doing right.

Can it be triggered from the damper pedal? I do this with mainstage and garageband and I like it a lot.
However I'm really interested in the Kross as I"m not a fan of using a computer on stage

Yes,

The fast/slow rotary can be controlled with pedal switch.
Open IFX and find the rotary speaker.
looking to speed switch and change the JS+Y to Damper#64 or Foot SW#82.

Cheers,
Dan
