Great update KORG!!!

Thanks!! It's what I expected!!!

Now I can send Songbook control messages to my iPad, also!!!

Everyone that uses Songbook+ app with Pa series must know how useful this update is!!!

Paolo, I think KORG must update all PA series starting from Pa1X. It's more decent!!!

Dimitris

Hi Ambro
There is nothing missing - everthing is in the " Pa3X_os_v163.zip" - read the instructions carefully - the last part shows you how to load the factory resources - the PA3X updates are a single file (PKG) now and NOT like the old days of PA2x/PA800/PA1X "OS + RESOURCES" (2 files).

Cheers

Hi dimitris

Have you actually got this working already?
If so, could you please tell us the details/howto etc....

How do you actually connect the iPad to the PA?

Thanks

Hi Pete,

I believe most people don't know many things about tablets and how useful could be.
4 months ago I also didn't have a clue!
It's something that KORG could also intergrate to next PA models if they use a big touchscreen!
Anyway, I think KORG will make a scientific announcement soon but, in order to take an idea of what app I use read this article of how you can simply connect your PA with iPad.

Connection with my andoid tablet is possible in a two way....
1. If I connect Pa3x with USB cable from host then I can have access to files in my Android device from pa3x....
2.If I connect Pa3x with device USB from behind and then go and enable USB HD Connection then I can access pa3x files from my Android device.
I am afraid that thas all for now....
Maybe you can play some mp3 music from android device or you can erase ,delete copy something in pa3x without use of a PC....
And also I will add that now my andorid tablet is charging via USB cable of Pa3x.
But my Android phone is still a problem...Maybe android O.S version is a problem.
Tablet is 4.2.2 chinese CAT
Phone Samsung Galaxy Core 4.1.2
that's normal for now , your tablett just see a nex hardware ! like in windows ! that's all ! the ideal should be that we can synchronize songbook entries with sheetmusic ! that's the way i see improvment !!

Do you have to have updated the previous OS before updating to 1.63 or can you jump straight in with the latest OS which has all the previous updates included?

Cheers

Paolo@Korg wrote:Hi,

We apologize again for the delay in releasing information about connectivity with tablets. We have still a few tests to do, but the release should be just a few days away (keep in mind there is a long holiday in Italy for the 1st of May).

The iPad and Android software is not developed by Korg, so there is some additional work to do to assemble instructions and test everything is working as expected.

As for compatiblity, the iPad app will work (at varying degrees) with all Pa-Series models starting from Pa1X. I can not confirm details regarding the Android app.

Best regards,
Paolo
Hi, can someone tell us:

What can we expect about tablet/ipad software?

What access give it from tablet/ipad to our pa?

We can change/access things from tablet/ipad? Like I've read, we'll be able to instantly access to our sheetmusic when we load some music from our songbook?

That's amazing, I'll wait very anxious for more information!!! please let it be soon!

Thanks,

Hi Ricardo,
I would imagine that the reason Korg Italy have stated that they are still working on the "tablet" side of the development, and will let us know as soon as it is available, is exactly that.

We will hear when it is ready.

Cheers

Hi Ricardo

Sorry - often new members are under the impression that these forums are part of Korg and so I misunderstood your message thinking that you were asking "Korg" for answers.

Welcome to the forums

I am too looking forward to the "mysterious" PA3X-and-tablet functionality.

Take care

Yeah,

That's right Pete, I know that this forum is apart of Korg, but sometimes there are people envolved in some processes, and although this maybe is confidential, someone could reveal somethings to us... but of course, this is "the curiosity speaking too"... we have to wait!! We'll see what come soon!!

Regards.
