I bought a new digitizer board with identical specs as the original.
It appears 100% IDENTICAL to the hitachi model used by korg during production.
Removing the LCD assembly was not difficult.
However there is one difference between the aftermarket digitizer and the original.
That is in the 8 wire flat ribbon connector.
The original Hitachi ribbon is about 23 mms widest its end.
The wiring of the traces is NOT straight. From left to right, wire number 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 have a crossover resulting in re routing of the first 4 wires.
The replacement digitizer connector is 11.5 mm at its end and is wired straight
.. There is no crossover in the routing of the wiring. In other words it is just direct so that 1 goes to 1 and 2 goes to 2 etc. ..... How to connect and adapt this aftermarket board with the twisted wiring?
Note: both wiring connector s have identical width for about 5/8" for it tapers down to the end.
I have carefully removed the original fat wiring connector from the broken board.
The question is... can the fat original be attached to the new board.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

the leads have to be crossed also
http://www.instrumentalparts.com/korg-t ... inity.html
i just bought one from them recently.
not only is the ribbon smaller but they have to be crossed over. THEY DO HAVE THE ADAPTER!
but they wont sell just the adapter. they cant over charge you if they give away the adapter. BUT!!1
update: my guy at audio labs was dumbfounded when i finally brought the screens in to show him what i needed. he was at a loss for words. i was very disappointed.
i have 3 trinity's to buy new screens for. they work now but for how long? so i may go ahead and invest the 750 bucks for 3 more screens with the adapters.
word of caution tho: the screen from this company was a little brighter which doesnt translate to being better. but the grid works.
