Saving a Backing Track (Song) in a Setlist

Post by jayjahed »

Hey everyone,

So i did all the usual steps, i.e. Starting with a combo, pressing enter+record to go to sequencer, importing the WAV file into a song, and going to disk mode and saving all. Now i have the .SNG and .PCG etc. files saved on my SDD. And the songs play properly when i hit the start/stop button. I have written both songs to the setlist and placed them at the desired location. But every time i restart my Kronos, those two song files are still there in the setlist, but they are empty.

Can someone help me in saving that? Or do i have to reload the SNG every time i restart my Kronos?

Thanks!!

You have to load the sng file every time you start your Kronos.

I just realised if i go to disk, press on any SNG, click load and then select "Clear" all the songs will fall into place. I restarted i tried several scenarios and compared with "Append". It seems to work out, am i on the right track?

Correction, have to select the last SNG i have on my list and click load and "Clear" to have them all fall in order.. good at least i don't have to load each song by song manually

Right, a SNG file contains all the songs that were in memory when you saved it. When you first fire up the Kronos there are no songs in memory, so append vs clear will make no difference...only if you subsequently load additional sng files, or individual songs from a sng file.
