HELP! ( having trouble Loading Sounds)

Post by Pouyakhoshgoo »

Ciao guys!

I've downloaded the Duduk sound from Kronoscopie website.
When i tried to load the sound( .pcg & .ksc files), it said something like "the required EXs are not loaded!
So i went to Global>KSC Auto Load, and i just selected what ever was in there!( new to korg Stuff...)
Then i restarted the K. And went to Disk mode to load the sound. Well this time it worked! I see the sound in Program and i can play it! BUT ALL THE OTHER SOUNDS ARE JUST MUTED! For example when i choose the German Grand in the top of the page it says: Sample not loaded!
So i restarted the K. Again and my sounds are working now, but the Duduk sound is silent now with the same message: SAMPLE NOT LOADED!
If i go to disk mode to load it again, same thing will happen! Duduk will work, others will shut up!

What should i do?!
By the way at the moment some of the items in my Global mode are not checked:
EXs4/5/6/7.KSC
EXs10/11/12/13.KSC

THE REST ARE SELECTED
EXs1/2/3/8/9
preload_EXs1/3/4/5/6/7/8/9

I know its something simple and i just cant figure this out due to my lack of knowledge!

So sorry for my boring story, and thanks for your helps!

Cheers

Sounds like when you're loading the Duduk samples you're choosing the "clear" mode instead of the "append" mode. This means it will clear all your other samples (like the German Grand) out of RAM.

If you want to load the Duduk samples automatically upon booting the Kronos, go to the Global KSC Autoload page again, choose "add KSC" and find the duduk_userbank.ksc (or whatever it's called). Add it to the list and choose "do autoload now" (same as rebooting).

Also help please

Post by Block D »

Hello. I could also do with some guidance please.

From Kronoscopie site, I've downloaded the samples (KSC) and associated programmes (PCGs). Everything is working fine.

However, I can't seem to get the samples saved onto my hard drive (SDD) from the RAM. The samples are all there on the 'Sample Manage' tab, and 'KSC Auto-load' under Global. But getting them from there (i.e. RAM which is wiped when I turn the keyboard off) to my SDD is beyond me !

Any assistance most welcome. Thank you

Follow the steps from scratch (OS .>v.2) :
- Load "sounds.PCG" and "sounds.KSC"in clear mode from your source media.
- Under DISK/Utility/Screen upper drop down menu select "Create Directory" f.e. MySounds
- Open "MySounds" file and under DISC/Save/Screen upper drop down menu select "Save sampling Data" clicking "Sampling Mode Data"
& '"All" tabs , name this file as "sounds.KSC" and press save there.
- Follow path Global/Basic / KSC Auto-Load , press “Add KSC” tab , browse HD for MySounds/sounds_user.KSC , press Add Tab and Done …
- When this file is checked there , your "sounds" samples will be loaded in streaming mode every time you restart Kronos
with every other checked KSC file that exists there.
