Hi - I am looking to buy the kronos X 88 keys model in India. Can anyone let me know if there is a sales office here in India who can deliver it to me in Bangalore?

It seems the Kronos is not available in India. It's a shame since India is a mighty big market and it's surprising that Korg does not have a good presence.

Now that make an interesting business proposition in India. What does it take to set up a Korg experience zone in India?

Sounds like they're pretty clear that they're out of stock currently - very, very different from your interpretation.

Kindly excuse my cynicism. I have been trying hard to buy this workstation and not able to find much help so far. As you see in my two screen shots, either there is misinformation (Kronos not available with Korg itself!!) or half baked information.

Here in Bangalore we kind of have access to anything and everything.. For example, there is a huge Yamaha music showroom where I was able to demo almost all models of the Yamaha keyboards hands on along with other music accessories. Same with Roland and other big brands. But I'm not able to spot a single place like that here for Korg. Kronos is available on order basis only which shouldn't be the case in a big market like India.

Dan, could we explore opportunities for setting up a Korg experience zone in India, an exclusive showroom where customers can touch, feel and experience Korg products? Can you please help me on behalf of Korg for the same?

this isn't going to help much. The Kronos has been mostly available for +3 yrs. Obviously its a hot or popular board. There is no comparison to the commodity type products ( lots of under $1000 stuff) by Roland/Yamaha.

I also have the experience of ' missing the parade ' in my business, such as missing a hot product opportunity or a trend.

I am not surprised to read that a Distributor only does special order. Its an expensive board for them, too and they only want a sure thing.

I bet quite a few customers buy the Kronos sight unseen because they are familiar with Korg W/s and have researched it. I think I read somewhere that Sweetwater ( Indiana) will do export/International sales. Possibly other US retailers do the same. So you have that option.

me trying for the same for the last 1 year
but always the answer is to wait for 4 months,2 months & it goes on

why can't KORG open a exclusive showroom anywhere in India
guys like me are ready to go to any part of india to just try it out

I wouldn't be suprised if KORG stopped making them and are on the way to a totally new design for a KRONOS/OASYS top model.

Like most complex, expensive electronics w/technology they only made a finite # some time ago , then closed the production/assembly line. Just my guess.

I see a handful of new x88s on eBay. If the US supply is in fact, dwindling, and I were a buyer today, I would not dilly dally around. A phone call to sweetwater might suggest the supply situation, too.
