Post by StephenKay »

The Karma-Lab July 4th Sale is on, now thru July 8, 2014 - 1 week only! For owners of the Korg Kronos, that
specifically means:

KARMA Kronos Software - regular $169 - now $126.75 (save $42.25)

(KARMA Kronos is the optional Mac/PC software, created by KARMA Inventor Stephen Kay, that allows you to edit and
create GEs and all related hidden KARMA settings, and upload them to the Kronos.)

Catalyst Vol.1 KARMA-fied Combis - regular $32 - now $24 (save $8.00)
Reincarnated KARMA-fied Combis - regular $32 - now $24 (save $8.00)

(If you like KARMA, nobody does KARMA-fied combis like the inventors of KARMA. And you can load these directly into
your Kronos; KARMA Kronos software not required.)

Complete details (and how to use a coupon code to get the discount): Karma-Lab 4th of July Sale

Also, if you happen to also have a Yamaha Motif XS, Motif XF, MOX, MOXF or Rack-XS, now's the time to think about picking
up the even more advanced (KARMA version 3) KARMA Motif Software - regular $199 - now $149.25 (save $49.75).

Happy Holidays! :)

Do sound sets have to be used with the software? Is this something someone without the software could add to their Kronos?

As it says "And you can load these directly into your Kronos; KARMA Kronos software not required". ;)

These are normal Kronos Combis, fully KARMA-fied with 8 completely different scenes etc. (view the links for details) - they do not require the KARMA Kronos software at all, you just load them into a bank of Combis on the Kronos. Of course, they can be used with the software as well; we also provide KARMA Kronos format files as part of the download. But you don't need to use them. Just load the provided .PCG file.

Thanks, kind of a moot question for me because I already have the software, but before I got the software I never considered the karmafied combis because I always guessed the software was needed. I figured others might be doing the same thing. They do sound good but I also think it will be col to deconstruct them and see what makes Karma tick as part of the learning process. Thanks for the reply!

They are great for that. I recommend them as useful musically and for learning - great stuff!

That's "if I have an end of year sale." I don't necessarily do it every year - so don't count on it. :)

I should have inserted a comma in that sentance. I didn't mean at an end of year sale I meant irregardless of there being a sale. I will purchase when I get the cash, sale or not!

Even though I don't have a KRONOS, I have both Catalyst 1 and Reincarnated in my old OASYS and can say without doubt that I have got a whole lot of mileage out of both sets.

The way the modules and sounds are assigned to the vector joystick, ribbon controller, S1 +S2 and the X-Y joystick are top notch and the way that the Flute Improv GE on the Guitar on "Epic Rock in 7" does what it does is the duck's nuts!

Well worth the dough, whether it is on sale or not (full price is only $1/per combi). Pretty cheap considering the work that goes into these things.

Thanks Douglas, not just for the supportive words, but for showing what can be done with our combis. :verycool:
