Question on Songbook.
Lets say I am making new sounds in song book. I decide to use a trumpet sound in sts 1 and pick the style serenade band using variation one. In variation 2 I want to use the trumpet sound again in sts2 but I want variation 2 to now be style Big Band evergr . Can this be done. In other words can I put two or three different styles in the same songbook sound, assigning them to the different variations. I hope I explained my self right.

I don't think you fully understand the Songbook feature.
It's not there to select your sounds.
It's there to select songs, creating a great workflow for your gigs.
Having said that, I DO think you can establish the desired behaviour of the keyboard, but "not" (not easy, maybe there is a workaround I don't know) in one songbook entry.
Just create two songbook entries for the two styles you want to use and program the sounds in STS's.
With "write current resources" (Songbook-Korgian for "write style performce") you can program in which Variation you want to start your songbook entry.
Good luck!

The difference between Songbook and Performance is very big.MuratE wrote:I think it's a valid question, as you know there are many songs with multiple time signatures.
So it is logical to expect the Songbook to accommodate this somehow, otherwise what's is the real difference between a Songbook entry and a Performance entry other than some text information.
In Songbook you can:
- select what kind of file will be the (Style, MIDI or mp3)
- set up to 4 STS
- vocal processor settings
- synchro start & stop
- write key of the song
- write artist and genres, so you can sort them quickly during your playing
- link a txt file
I use my Pa900 already 4-5 months and Songbook makes the things much, much easier and faster comparing with my previous arranger (PSR-3000).
Thank you, KORG!!!
