I bought me a MicroArranger, I have look all thru the PDF manual too see if you can make the style track instrument change with just the varation change buttons. It does it on the PA600.

I think you need to edit the style itself and change the instruments that way.

How to select programs you will find on page 41 (also page 25 of your manual - as described press TRACK SELECT from the main page, then use one of the buttons A-E for the assigned styletrack.

As style-elements can have different programs and your individual program-selection might be resettet when selecting a different variation, you can avoid this reset. As described on page 49 set parameter "prog" to on, so you can assign different programs to each styletrack - in this case programs of style tracks in each styleelement are the same!

Different assigned programs to styletracks you can save in Performances or Style-Performances without editing styles.

PS: As Pa600 has the same structure of variations like the MA there is no difference in changing variations - in both devices you get another style-element with its tracks and assigned programs. if duplicating style-elements to different variations your can play the same style-element but different track-programs by changing with variation-button.
