Any common problems that I need to look at before I buy it?

Be sure to check that the control buttons. If poorly pressed, they should be changed. Ask for a discount on repairs. Estimated cost to repair - $ 100. Note the sensitivity and contrast of the display. The presence of a uniform signal level on the left / right audio outputs. Check the operation of the ribbon controller. Good luck!

i have 5 of em. shorted audio jacks is common and shouldnt be a deal breaker. also, a loose joystick is not a deal breaker.
also the dial, if it feels loose it can be fixed also. the floppy drive isnt a deal breaker as long as there is an os' installed.
it may have a plus card, or one time i found a Moss card in a broken trinity.
many easy fixes.
i would take the bottom off and inspect the keys where they attach for chips. look to see if it looks like a clean organized interior.
if you see glue or duct tape or rubber wedged in someplace run hahahahaha
