Replacing keys and a floppy drive?

Hi, new to the forums,

I just wanna ask you all experts here, how much of a task to replace keys and a floppy drive in this synth?

Do you think I can manage to do it by myself, if I can put together a PC for example? Or is it better I just take it to the shop and have someone do this for me instead? (...and roughly how much does that cost in UKP?)

And if you have any advice or have links for useful info, I'm more than glad to know.

Oh one more thing, this synthesizer is Japanese version and run on 100V, so I need step-down transformer. Do you think this will do the job?

I believe Trinity power consumption is around 22w, right? They sell similar 30w trans for even cheaper price but I thought that one is bit on the edge so I decided to go with 50w version, just to be on the safe side.

What do you guys think?

The Trinity Power supply is universal, it can run from 100 to 250V without voltage adapter.

how you replaced the floppy?

I opend all screws I saw, but can get out the floppy, is there a screw I dont see immediately?

There are for sure some screws you didn't see

The floppy is in a caddy which is maintained with screws.

I tried 2 USB floppy emulators and none worked well : the diskette change mechanism was not working, and I cannot load samples diskettes then.

Now I understand the connection of the screws. Is it necessary to remove the side of the trinity?

Nope, I only removed the bottom panel, then the screws around the floppy drive.

I figured it out... the entire sled assembly (which must be removed as one piece) includes the gray plastic faceplate "shroud" around the front of the floppy drive. There are only 5 screws that attach this assembly into the body of the keyboard. All 5 are screwed straight down into the body (NOT side to side). The error I was making was trying to remove the floppy drive out of the sled while the sled was still inside the keyboard. This cannot be done because there are some hidden screws that you can only access after the plastic shroud is removed. And you can only remove the plastic shroud once the entire assembly is taken out. I will try to post some pics.
