For me, a monitor is just that: a monitor. I don't need to hear the nuances of the sound, just what I'm playing. As long as I can hear myself, that's all that's needed, so I just use a Mackie Thump 15 in Mono.

Again, this is only for me and the band to hear what I'm playing. For FOH I want a completely different answer, and that would probably be the ART 315-A MK III5's in Stereo, because that's where the sound matters, and RCF are the speakers that made EAW into a touring standard before they were bought out by Mackie and went to Mackie speakers.
