Reggae Organ Patches

Post by Cobra Jet »

I started playing a few Bob Marley songs in my band & I was wondering if anyone had a few good factory reggae organ patches that would be a good starting point. The two songs I’m currently doing are "Is This Love" and "Jammin".
Any help would be greatly appricated.

If it's for the bubbeling sound (or organshuffel) usually played with the left hand, Just use the 8' register fully open. You can also use a sine wave for that (on a synth without a Hammond engine). A variation on this is the 8' register fully open and the 1' register less than half open. (2 sine waves. One of them 3 octaves higher than the other and less in volume). Those 2 sounds are most common in reggaemusic. Bob Marley used them too.
