Post by kobimor24 »

Hello everyone I have a problem: after a few minutes of playing the pa800 get stuck the buttons and the screen does not respond and when I restart i get the pa800 black screen and the operating system does not boot up.
I did format and installed all the operating system versions and still the same problem.
maybe someone can help what to do.

to full reset you need exactly follow instruction.
suppose to be attach instruction.
on page 3...
Loading a .PKG file
The following procedure allows you to load the Operating System
and/or the Musical Resources supplied as “.PKG” files. As an
example, we will load the Operating System (file
“Pa800_os_v[nnn].pkg”, where [nnn] is the version number).
1. Copy the file “Pa800_os_v[nnn].pkg” to an USB storage
device (like an USB pen or an external USB hard disk).
As an alternative, you can copy the file to the internal hard
disk of the Pa800 (if installed), by using the USB Device
port to connect your Pa800 to a personal computer.
2. Turn the Pa800 off, and connect the USB device to one of
Pa800’s USB Host connectors – either the Front [USB-F] or
Rear [USB-R] port.
3. Turn the Pa800 on, while keeping the INTRO 1 button
pressed.
4. A file browser will appear in the display:...........
Is very imported hold Intro 1 before you turn on, that's the way you format and put new fresh OS.

I tried download, and you right in zip file is Pa800_res_v203.BKP file
maybe you need contact Korg and ask if this is same or they misplace file :?
looks like they have same file on OS, Musical Resources and Factory Reset.
for Pa600 under Factory Reset is .PKG file.

SORRY i MISLED YOU as these procedures changed with PA3X whose "res" zip is a full reset (SORRY  )

PKG is the OS, BKP is the factory data.

PLEASE SEE: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... 238#255238 for procedures and additional information plus SSD formatting. Note that the OS level is 2.02 now.

If all this fails, then you need to get a service centre to check the keyboard for you.

Let us know how you go.
