Cheap touch screen for your Kross

Post by twstone1983 »

Hi guys, I just came across this yesterday. Its the cheapest Windows tablet I have seen yet that would be capable of running the Kross editor which would basically give you touch screen capabilities on your Kross.

8" version for $139

10" version for $199

The are only available at Microcenter though so hopfully some of you have a Microcenter near you.

Reviews on the 10" are good, there aren't a whole lot of reviews on it but one I read said its equivalent to the Dell Venue 8 Pro. They have 1 micro usb 2 port, 1 standard usb 3 port, micro HDMI and Micro SD so you could expand the storage space. They also have WIFI and Bluetooth, no built in 3G/4G though but I supposed you could get a usb dongle for that if you wanted.

Tim

Ok so I went and got the 8" for $139 yesterday. It is really good quality for the price. It does run the Kross editor, but there is a bit of a problem.

There is no way to make the editor full screen. Therefore all the buttons and such in the editor are really tiny making it not easy to use with out a mouse which sort of defeats the purpose.

If Korg would update the editor and add a full screen mode to it, it would be perfect. Just thought I would share incase anyone was considering this idea.
regards,
Tim

yeah, it would be cool to be able to modify more parameters in real-time.
