Trying to program a sound effect, need pointers
Hey guys,
I need help to create a patch that sounds pretty much like this synth sweep FX one : http://youtu.be/EmCA7EwE3rY?t=3m35s @3:35.
For some reasons, sound effects are the patches I always struggle the most to program.
Please, help me understand that sound. It seems to me that there are three layers, one low and "fat" wobbly, one syncopated drone and one with a filter sweep.
How can I create such a sound in the Kronos? Can such a FX be activated by only one key, or must I a press one key per sound layer (like a 3way split program/combi)?
Also, in the best of worlds, the sound I want ultimately would have an even harsher filter sound.
So, what are the components of this sound fx? Where do I start? AL-1?
Thanks guys!

Not pointing to any certain engine but in general, it sounds like an analog type sound, perhaps saw waves, going through a filter being swept, and the results being gated. Maybe a little sub osc for more low end.
It also sounds like the original sound is running in parallel with the filtered version. This can be done in some dual filters where you can select serial or parallel filters.
The amp gain would be gated with an LFO using a square wave and careful intensity adjustment.
I believe it can be made with basically one sound or layer. That could easily be mapped to one key. Adding an IFX to that one sound can add some reverb and of course distortion for a grittier sound.

Hey guys, I'm getting closer, thanks to your help.
However, I'm having troubles with the parallel filters. It seems that the filter B doesn't output anything. I've tested by setting the B filter to a lowpass filter with a frequency of 99 and I've panned it completely to the left.
The filter A is a lowpass filter with 0 frequency (modulated by stepsequencer so I can program it to sweep exactly as I need in a particular song). I panned it to the right.
I get the sound from the filter A in my right ear, but nothing comes out of filter B. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

I don't see what could be wrong in my settings.

A bit OT but the reminds me the opening of an old Sweet song:

I would just sample it!

Here's some comments on how to recreate that sound:

Thanks for the link Dniss.
Guys! I just found the problem. If you want both filter to sound, you HAVE to adjust the BALANCE settings in the MIXER page! Both oscillators were set to 0 balance, which meant they both went only in the filter A.
Learning a lot more than I thought I could with the "help" button on the Kronos haha.
