$75 Rebate on Kross 88 $50 Rebate on Kross 61

Post by brkross »

Just saw this online at American musical supply. usually when they do this a new model is going to come out or maybe the kross will be discontinued?? this happened to me when I purchased my Yamaha MOX6, I got a $100 rebate and then a few months later the MOXF came out.

Wonder what Korg is doing with the Kross?

Same thing at Guitar Center, NYC too - $649 for Kross-61's....
I've been finally bit by the Kronos bug - I've been using my friend's Kronos-61 at Electric Lady studios - luckily, he's playing DRUMS on these sessions!!!
The piano's on the Kronos have replaced the big grand that is one of Electric Lady's big features. . because we're all cutting live in the room and this eliminates leakage. It for television, but the music IS featured. I've used both the Japanese (Rudess version) and the German (Steinway) on the tracks and the engineer LOVES it. So no one's complaining.
Except for me. My kross is seeming a little anemic by comparison!

Now it's 1 hour later, and the Kronos bug-bite is wearing off!
I have been playing a Pa-1x here and the synth sounds are really fine; And also the pianos on the Hammond SK-1 are really beautiful and 'playable.' Even the "Electric Grand + Pad" sample, with a little of the SK's B3 drawbars added in, with echo on the ElecGrand and Chorus on the Organ - sweet!

And if you are in the studio, use the real piano! - well I just saved myself a lot of money! (for today anyway...)  :?:

And if you're reading this, Jack or Jerry, no Kronos loaner will ever be refused, especially a 73!
