What are you trying to do? Use the DR-800 as a sound module for the arranger to play the factory styles into to get different drum sounds? Or slave the drum machine to the arranger and have it play ITS patterns while the arranger runs?

If you are trying to get the drum machine to simply be a sound bank for the Korg, I'd suggest a post at the Roland drum machine forums. What is going to be MUCH simpler is to create or edit kits in the drum machine to match the note #'s of the Korg kits than have to edit all of the Korg styles to send what you want... And for that, you are going to need the help of those who own and use the DR-800, not those that own the Korg, I think.

Your problem comes from a change in the General MIDI traditional layout. Originally, there were toms on only the F, A and C notes, then that changed to FGABC, then that changed to toms on FAC, and tom flam's on GBD, and now we have a combination of any of those! So it's getting harder and harder to get gear from one manufacturer to talk nice with any other. Admittedly, the problem started because the original GM map failed to include basic sounds like tom flam's and ghost notes and ruffs, and they never got back together to discuss how each of these should be mapped, but it has definitely led to less compatibility than there used to be!

Overall, I have a feeling that you are going to have to dig deep into the DR's manual, and learn how to program User Kits... That will be the simplest (hah!) solution.
