Dude really?!?!! Spamming a good thread with your site? Totally wrong. Has nothing to do with the new Electribe.

The video description on this says:
bassDrum:OSC: SINE
Snare drum:OSC: BOOST-SAW

bass:OSC VPM-SINE1
bass2:OSC:X-SQUARE2
meaning that the synth engine allows to create drum sounds from scratch.

Cool, mine's arriving on tuesday, time for some fun. Damn i've been away from it for months, can't wait to start with a new piece of kit.
As for making drums from waves... I should hope so, it wouldn't be much of synth otherwise. :? :( 8)

Hmm yeah very basic white noise and sine. The drums sound terrible in that demo IMHO. I know there are people out there that will like those sounds but they are unusable in most styles..

I'm sure you will be able to make a better kick with the sine though, or even layer it under a sample for more sub oomph :)

i wonder if we could use the new electribe as an vocoder when plugging a microphone in the audio input. when it is true that the signal is processed by the oscillator this could be very cool. or plug in a guitar :)

All it says in the manualis that the audio in is for external sources like a cd player or mp3 player. That suggests it's for a line level input so i guess for a mic you'd have to go through a mixer first & then mixer to input. After that then you can tweak the synth parameters i think & treat that input as a wave. Some lfo action & effects could give nice results.

You can't use it as vocoder because of the lack of an vocoder effect :D

I remember tweaking some vocal sample on the esx1 & getting a near-on vocoder effect. Some fast lfo action, a reverb & some pitch adjustment kinda got me there.

Just got a call from my supplier. Shipping out today, should be here Thursday.
Bad thing is I'm going interstate early next week so I'm going to get it shipped to a friends address interstate instead :/

But the good news is they are shipping!!
