i use cool edit pro to record my samples in none standard rates

i did a video for the dss1x sampler upgraded to 24mb and did samples in 24khz and showed how to chop them up and normalize them

the video is here http://wavetablecreation.com
I have finished my editing, how can i save them into ksf format? am still trying to figure this out, so far am doing good actually, thanks for your help!

Ok so far so good, I have recorded and chopped them out, I am now looking into put convert them to kmp format, so when you say a wavestudio, do you mean another app? Which app exactly?.

For the most part, the sound has been recorded in 32000khz and chopped in about 6-8 seconds each, and actually they sound really good now, I getting real close to get this done, I just need one more or fewer things to do.

Ok, I finished mapping the keys and layers in Awave Studio, finished editing, sound file finally put as multisample in a kmp format, saved it to my floppy disk.

However I am getting "illegal SMF data" but why? Each sample was resampled to 32000hz, chopped and edited to sound accordingly and 6 different samples made it to 1.26Mb in KMP format, all done with Cool Edit Pro and Awave Studio, any thoughts on this?

How do you load the ksc file ? Did you chose "load KSC" ?

Yeah, I did it both ways, KSC and KMP, I go to disk menu, select the LOAD down arrow to bring another menu, select LOAD and when KSC and KMP were selected, I tried 1st one way then the 2nd way with both formatss, unfortunately neither worked.

What can I be doing wrong?

ok when you make a keymap up of all samples then save in kmp or ksc

this will create a folder that has all the ksf files in and the kmp file and the ksc file tells the trinity where it all is

smf is midi data

you need to load either the kmp or ksc script file

if your havng problems send it to me and i can take a look at whats going on

also you can make these files supper small by actually just sampling a single osc at a time and removing the fx and setting the envelope to full sustain that way you will get a good constant level loop

then recreate the patch inside the trinity by using the same synth params

I can definitely send them to you, but how? I can put the files on the floppy into an email and send them if you want to, does this work for you?

ok i down loaded the file and it plays ok weird way of doing the root notes

i would suggest next time sampling used cool edit pro and set the sample rate to 32khz it will then sample it at the right rate with out sample converting

also when doing sampling its best to do it in a way that its equal to transposing

i do it it every third or 6th key depending on content

a piano needs more samples

every third key means only transposing up 1 key or down transposing by 1 key every 6th key usually 3 up 2 down

ok here is the file i added loops to the bottom keys just unzip to a trinity formatted floppy disk and load the ksc file it should load as it does not go over any 2mb limit

ill sample my 01w with the same sample but i will attempt to sample the 2 pcm samples then remake it in the trinity that way it will be aq very small file as both have the same type engine layout i think it will be easy to make a patch with the same settings i did this in a korg t3ex i sampled the 01w waveforms and placed them into the layers the same and then copied the params and it sounded the same apart from the fx but was good enough for me

forgot to add the drop box link
I know it's been a long time, but I actually didn't have a chance to get on this until recently, WOW, I know! I am still unable to get it working, every time I try to load it I get this error message: illegal SMF data.

What can I do now?
