Kronos 3.0.2 has been released!

Great Update!
Now that there's an option to check the temperature I'm curious to know what is everyone's average temperature. I've replaced the fan in my Kronos a while ago with a more quiet but slower running one. My Kronos temperature running on average load is 48 degrees C. Do you think it's too hot?

Mine is 72 celcius. But I leave it always on (too much boot time and quitd a bit of thermal stress). 72 is just a nice warm summer day in CPU land.BobTheDog wrote:Mines in the 50s, someones else was in the 70s so yours looks fine.
Most inner temp, I feel, comes from the PSU, the thermal inertia then drives up the CPU too.
Had very rare spontaneous reboots (one I think in very early OS version)
Kind Regards,
AMR

Great Update! Thanks KORG!
Great to see the "Load missing samples" option, in which you can specify to load the entire missing sample set, or only the individual missing multisamples.
With all the sample libraries available, this really enables us to make specific subsets!
And SGX2, vintage effects, editing programs from within Combi's and Seq's: wow!
Have to try the fan thingy yet, although the noise never bothered me..

My Kronos X has been on for about an hour and the temperature is 36 degrees C. At the of the day yesterday I noted that the temperature settled at 55 degrees C with the fan set to "Auto".Avalon wrote:Now that there's an option to check the temperature I'm curious to know what is everyone's average temperature. OK, I'm perplexed. I posted earlier that my update resulted in a nonresponsive keyboard and grey screen. Reinstalled original OS from dvd and all was well. Reinstalled the update and all was well until I loaded up my backed up PCG... Next time I rebooted, went through boot up and ended up locked with a grey screen. Any thoughts?

Hi, it's in the drop down menu (and there I was looking for it on one of the pages!Stratario wrote:Can somebody please point me to the right page for setting the fan options in the global mode? I can't find that option. Thanks.
Fred

My temperature is 55C after it being turned on since about 11 this morning. I have just changed the setting to slow to see what difference it makes over the next few hours. It sounds a safe thing to try, as if the temperature gets above 89C then the Kronos will set the speed to high.
Thanks to Korg for the update. There's some good things in there
