Help! Keys Not Sounding

Post by Jazzooo »

Hi--I haven't been playing my SV1-73 for the past few months, but last week I took it to a gig only to find that several notes--maybe 8 or 10--simply don't sound now.

They were mostly in the octave two below middle C, very inconvenient for left handed bass (this was a duo gig, of course :) ) However, there were one or two elsewhere on the keyboard that simply didn't sound.

I suspect something more than a physical problem, as at one point I'm pretty sure that one or two of the keys came back to life for a moment or two. Maybe a software thang?

Anyway, any ideas on how to proceed? Unfortunately I live in rural central Mexico with the closest service center being 5 hours away--I'll go if I have to but if you have any other suggestions to start with, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks,

Doug (jazzooo @ aol . com)

Hey bud,

Hold it with the keys facing the floor and give it a good shake up and down. All the notes will come back.

Store your SV-1 Flat

You may know this already, but be sure you store your SV-1 flat. I was informed that the key bed get wonky if you don't.
