Just make your bass sound but without sequencing it, write the pattern & then save it to a card. Each time you want that bass sound in a new pattern, import the pattern first.... Jobs a good un !... Well i can't see another way as yet.

DrHoo, it seems you can copy and past parts:
Parameter Guide:
4. PART UTILITY
COPY PART
This lets you copy the sound and sequence data (including the
motion sequence) of the currently selected part to another part.
TIP: If this copy operation would result in more than 24 motion
sequences, the motion sequence is not copied.
COPY PART SOUND
This lets you copy only the sound data of the currently selected part
to another part.
TIP: Step data and motion sequence data is not copied.
Manual:
3. Copying a part
1. Use the <Part> buttons to select a part to copy.
2. Select PART COPY from PART UTILITY in the edit menu.
3. Press the Menu/Enter button and then press the part of the
trigger pad where you want to copy the data.
All contents of the original part will be copied to the part that
you selected.

WTF !! lol this is crazy, isnt the whole idea to build up a trac with a series of patterns.
so if im using all 16parts and i have 8 patterns making the song, then i have to setup the sound parameters and effects 128 times!!
this is becoming a disappoint box

If you want to copy one whole pattern's settings multiple times, all you need to do is press the Write button and then select a different pattern location than the one you currently have selected.

Haha, I feel like there's only three of us here actually reading the thing and we don't even own the unit yet.SMK wrote:so following the instructions I posted is not going to help?

No, not quite, there's not pattern copy as you would like. You can either copy a 'part's sound' (Without motion sequence data) OR you can copy a 'part' & that includes the whloe bag. All of this can only be copied within the pattern you are working on.
If you want to make multiple clones of the same pattern you have to import the pattern from the sd card to the pattern number location.
It basically means that we have to make a pattern we're happy with as a stage 1 of the workflow, then writ ie to sd card, import it back to our desired locations & then re-edit it individually for each location number.... Then save them all as either individual patterns or write an entire backup to the card as a whole.
