You might be right. Like I said, it's cryptic. Of course, shift+pad12 is the step edit.. Perhaps it is in there? I can't see them leaving this feature out, at least I hope not.
Hopefully it'll be at the arse end of the step edit pages...
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

Sound

Is it me or are all of the demos coming out of this thing sounding like I am inside a game of Final Fantasy?

Could somebody please post some edgier tunes/demos??? I was an owner of the EMX and ESX and loved the fact that I was not limited to a genre with those machines. Frankly, most demo vids of this are pretty cheesy.

Guy on muff wiggler also said he is selling his as it's a major disappointment.

Mines waiting for me interstate, I hope it's not as bad as it's sounding

Same here. I look forward to your initial conclusions after you get yours, Buska.

The thing is, I get the feeling that most of the people who are disappointed are EMX users. I'd like to get some thoughts and feedback from non-EMX users, like myself.

Yup as soon as I get my mitts on it I will post some videos. Going to be using it with midi clocked to either an iPad or Reason7. I will hopefully be able to explore the midi features a bit more in depth too. I will be travelling so uploads will have to happen at internet cafe's but I will do my best.. Welp

When I get mine I am planning on a major review with a special guest youtube reviewer!

We will be comparing it with a regular EMX and the Kaossiltor Pro ( lets be honest this is a lot like a super kaossilator).

We will also cover everything from Arp Gate features, external control over other gear and using controllers like the PadKontrol and the Quneo.

So when I get! this is whats coming from my end.
Korg PX5d
Korg Quad
Korg KP3
Korg DS-10
Korg PadKontrol
Korg K25
Korg Monotron
Korg Electribe 2
Korg Electribe Sampler 2
Roland GK-3A
Roland GI-20
Fishman Triple Play

I am humbled by the offer from the reviewer in question to do a review with me. It is a real honor. But I have to keep the name secret until it's release. ;)

A studio set up like that & good camera angles but still not really showing anything under the surface ! I noticed too that he was stopping the thing while changing patterns, is that to not highlight a certain unwanted feature that has been noticed ? Or what ?
It kinda makes out that all you have to do is push a few buttons to make music, is it a sales booster vid ? This machine absolutely needs a full-on pro video review by someone with an ounce of passion for the tribe. People need to be shown some of the finer functions, damn, all of the finer functions. There's so much more to this box than anything demoed so far.

:!: :?:
My current Korg gear. MS20 Mini... & now the .... Oh, maybe not !
...Had a few other Korg things over the years.

I completely agree with you....but you know DrHoo, there is nothing stopping you from trying. Just saying...

Anyhow, when I get mine, I will do my best to review the finer points. And really get in-depth. I'll have a pro electribe performer with me on this.

I have to be honest, i've just done about 35 takes with the event recorder & couldn't get anything i liked down. I'm that pissed with the thing now that i can't go near it.

As for video stuff, i'm not your man, it's not my bag but then i'm not the one marketing it am i ? It's not for my sake that i think they should do it either, it's for the sake of all the people with unanswered questions. It's like marketing a new kind of scissors & someone asking "Do they open & close" & the maker saying "We can't tell you, you have to buy it & then find out yourself" ....Except that this thing costs £320 to find out.
