Do you mean about phase issues out of sync? If so no unless you have a really bad sound card and high latency. Both clocks of the korg and daw are synced so they play and record perfect timing.

I follow you; not so much as about with: PRaT (pace, rythm, timing) that has something to do with any hardware clocking issues, though. It more so has to do with how effects behave/relate together in a mix and how to control them precisely when needed (maybe it's not always possible or desired). (If I could just find the right words. Please be patient with me). To be simple, for example, let's say there is a flanger assigned to track 1 and a phaser assigned to track 2. Each -effect- adds a particular affect to a sound. These effects in particular (flanger/phaser) may take on a more random, unpredictable [let's presume] application to the sound being applied to, than other effects that would be easier to precisely calculate (therefore, CONTRL their OUTCOME more [the goal with certain applications]). You could record a first take, then a second take, and each take would be 'applied differently-?' to each track because of the very nature of what these effects each exhibit. This would be whether recording each track separately, or together. Of course, the more tracks you have, the more complicated (to precisely control) it may get with certain types of effects (let's say). So, when recording effects that are more difficult to control (because of the very nature in what they are), I was wondering if when recording tracks individually (into a daw/or onboard the Kronos [doesn't matter which]) in comparison to a 2-channel mix would they sound different because of any randomness/unpredictability these effects may have (by the very nature of what the are) that would make it more DIFFICULT to control its outcome... (- I'f your not getting what I'm saying [it's okay], it's me NOT you!). I thought I would try . . . -T.

It would be the same on the kronos sequencer if you had flange and phasers as they are random what ever recording medium your using. Of course the final mix is gonna sound massively different after mastering etc compared to the original sequence on the korg as different hardware will have a different character but personally i dont really go into it that deep i press record and play and if it sounds good i keep it.

I really dig your remix. I envy your ability to do so much using just hardware, that's really inspiring. I made a Chasing Time remix as well using the Kronos for bass and the Rhodes (Using the Herbie Butterfly Stock Patch).
Anyways, its cool to see someone from the korg community did the same remix competition and i thought i'd throw mine up here as well.
