Feedback and Filter Peak settings
I can't find any important settings I missed (I followed my own tutorial and get the wah)
However, since you are asking about the feedback amount, I think you have missed something there. Because without the feedback you will have barely a wah.
The feedback is as follows: In the patch panel you connect the PHONES output to the IN A from MIXER 1 (MIXER 1 is right below the PHONES). Connect the OUT of MIXER 1 to EXT SIGNAL IN (in the left upper corner, with 3VVP MAX below it). On the MG, EG, & Mod tab you can now adjust the amount of feedback with MIXER 1 LEVEL A. Don't do to much, a setting of 1.5 to 1.6 is enough. If you go any further, things are getting wild.
Also: did you adjust the PEAK levels of the filters on the Osc & Filter tab as described? They are important too (without it no wah)
Hope this helps.

Works now! Problem was that I missed the three other patch cables on the patch panel.
The character of this one is different from the AL1 wah-lead. The MS20 wah seems to scream a little more. While the AL1 lead seems to be harder, probably more present in a mix.
That's good news, now I have two different wah-s.
Thanks again Postman, also for taking the time to make the photographs etc....
The sound will probably end up on our next CD

EQ
Happy that it works now! Although I am not sure what you mean by the three patch cables. The lower three (grey, red and brown) are not important for the wah effect, only the upper two (grey and green). The lower three only serve to make it possible to bend the tone 24 tones downward and 1 tone upward with the pitch bend.
Anyway, the presence becomes better if you modify the EQ. I have set mine as follows:
Common EQ tab:
- Mid Cutoff: 1.70k
- Mid Gain: +06.5

Just to satisfy my curiosity Postman, have you ever tried to use your foot pedal for the wah effect? My Kronos is still in her case right now so I won't have a chance to try anything tonight. Have to be wuiet. Wife has a migraine.

If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
Gear: Kronos 73, Wavestation EX, Polysix, King Korg, Monotron and Monotron Duo, Minikorg, Moog Grandmother, my very old MiniKorg, 4 acoustic and 9 electric guitars, 1 Ibanez 5 string bass, a Steel guitar, a bunch of microphones, 2 pairs of studio monitors and other very cool toys, 1 wife and 4 cats and a lava lamp!

Wah pedal
Hi Jeremy, I am sorry to hear your wife is not well. Hope she will get better soon. Yes, I have tried to do the wah effect with a pedal (Yamaha FC7). It works fine.
I have set up an AMS with both the pedal and the joystick and use this AMS source on the wah effect. So in case I don't have the pedal with me, I can still use the wah effect with the joystick. Not sure if it works, since I have not tried it without the pedal yet. It might not work, because the Kronos tends to send Pedal full open messages when no pedal is available.

I pretty much always have my pedal as I have it mounted onto a pedal board that is part of my rig. I think I'm just going to have to mess around with a bunch of parameters. This is not a bad thing though. I come from the old analogue school and making sonds is serious fun for me!
My wife, Laurie is much better now, thank you. Her migraines tend to be weather related. High pressure systems moving in seem to cause them. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do. The weather has decided to stop listening to me!

Just fooling around with my K and I came up with what I consider to be a killer lead sound and it's a factory preset. A-107 Stradivarious Sync. I put mine into mono but not mono legato. Pull the joy-stick back and you have the wah effect in spades! I set the joy-stick to do a 2 octave pitch down as well. This sound screams! I love it!

This kronos never fails to amaze me. After Christmas, if I can remember
, I'd like to create a huge fat lead sound similar to Keith Emerson's Lucky Man patch that has modulation and feed back similar to Derek Sherinian's version of the Monster Lead.
I figure that I'm going to have to use a few AL-1's in combi mode slightly detuned. Various square waves perhaps.

Programming
Just wanted to say sincere thanks to all members who create sounds for everyone else.
I lost my sight a few years back and i would really struggle without the good folk who create and post their work, it makes the difference between carrying on with music and giving up.
Many thanks
