Realtime Controls MIDI channel selectable?
Is there a way to define which channel the Realtime Controls send on, or is it permanently locked to global? I'd like to be able to use them on different timbres, rather than affecting every timbre in a mix at the same time. MIDI filtering isn't what I want. I want to select a timbre, adjust it, move to another and adjust it. I know there's "tone control" for modifying presets within the combi but that's not what I'm looking for either.

In combi mode, not really. But in SEQ mode, the real time controls are tied to currently selected track or any and all tracks that are assigned to the same MIDI channel. This works well for recording purposes, but perhaps not so well for live playing with splits or layers. So this leaves you only with the MIDI filtering options for a combi, which would clearly be a pain to have to uncheck four boxes, and check four boxes to work on the next timbre.
Even though you aren't interested in it, Tone Adjust (or tone control, as you put it) could be customised to act just like the real time controls on per timbre basis, however they don't generate MIDI CC's like the real time controls do, and instead generate sysex based on the slider.
Sorry, I don't see any good solution based on your request.

Hm. Okay. Thank you for the response.
